Web design and development
Department for Work and Pensions I
The department maintained two web sites on behalf of the Child Support Agency (for old rules and new rules customers). Each site, was fully bi-lingual English / Welsh. My brief was to redevelop the sites within existing branding guidelines, making them more accessible and standards compliant At the time of going live, these sites were assesed by the independent monitoring organisation, Sitemorse as being the top ranked of all national government web sites. They were also one of the very few web sites to be accredited under the RNIB "See it right scheme"
Department for Work and Pensions II
Re-called by the DWP to work as part of a team on the redesign and rebranding of the Child Support Agency web
presence, combining the two sites to form a single bilingual web site. This was achieved on-time, with very tight timescales.
e-commerce / electronic payments
Alpha Telecom
Alpha Telecom wished to simplify their supply chain, improve margins and establish a greater degree of brand loyalty for their service.
This resulted in the launch of the world’s first pre paid top up card for use anywhere telephony.
My role was one of project manager and technical lead for product development,
ensuring conformance to ISO standards for both cards and payment transactions. Another
responsibility was management of the day to day relationship with the payment processing partner,
Paypoint, ensuring successful roll out, on time, in over 10,000 UK retail outlets.
