about me
career in brief
Beginning as a computer programmer in 1983, I initially helped develop IT systems within manufacturing industries.
In 1989 I moved into the technology services sector, carrying out a number of technical client facing roles. First of all within the field of electronic payments with VISA and in 1994 with Comcast, a world leading telecoms organisation, cable TV provider and ISP.
Since first going freelance in 1997, I have have provided services to the telecommunications sector, education and government. These have ranged from systems development, service development and delivery, as well as operational and project management through to training.
After completing a Masters Degree in e-commerce in 2004, I decided to solely concentrate my efforts on web based projects; placing an emphasis upon usability, accessibility and web standards.
